Thats some good ideas there, I never thought of codecs posibly being the problem. However it does only do it for WMP, not DivX etc. Its started to stop doing it now and litterally the problem is becoming less frequent and litterally no problems with it this week so far. I have done a complete auto and manual uninstall of WMP and then a reinstall, this might have done the trick, I'll keep you informed . . . Thanks for the ideas everyone!

lol, before reading the updated reply's on this post, i was thinking what could still be causeing the problems, and guess what came up in my mind....
Codecs - there is a huge codec pack that seems to solve the WMP problem, i think its called "Nemo codec pack" that works for most things for me.
Also, i was gonna sey use winamp, i reakon its far better i love it. Bash

The Nero pack CAUSED that problem for me! After using that pack I decided it would be better to hunt for my own codecs.

u said "Nero" did u mean the one we were previously discussing . . which was Nemo? I have been runnin Nemo codec pack for like a couple of years now, so its not that. Everything posible problem that has been brought up so far has been ruled out, so no solutions as of yet, but the problem is still here. And yes one thing that is correct; is that when it does hang and I cant re-open another file, it is not closing correctly like previously mentioned and is hanging in the background processes trying to close. Thanks ever so much for your help and input guys, . . but any new ideas?
