We run tourny's, have prizes, have many different games of all different types and provide a great place to meet ur mates and have a good time.
Is there something u want us to provide that we aren't at the mo? Do u want to see custom case tournys? Xbox/Ps2/xbox 360 gamz.
Any idea is welcome and if its good enough and it catches with the people @ the LAN and the staff members u might see it at the next LAN!!

I don't think Newquay LAN can get any better, but as Jugg said were always open to new suggestions on what we should include in next events!

Great idea folks, yep, if you do have any ideas let us know. I think one of the recent improvements we have made is the Internet connection. I mean when people want a bit of a break between games or chill whilst they eat or chat, they can browse the net, or chat on MSN etc. The Internet is endless, so thats very cool to have @ LAN.

How about a show+tell time/area where people can be asked to talk about stuff - for example Ash can talk about setting up a server such as the long forgotten BBiaC etc etc etc

OOoo, interesting.. reading the first few words of mireys post I thought "oh here we go, he's taking the p1ss" lol, but serioulsy thats a really good idea.
Being a hacker myself I love to learn & educate and especially when it comes to tech. It could be an interesting time where people could take their eyes of their screens and could learn something inetersting.. some new skillz.
I think like other hacker conferences, we could have some time allocated to it, and then get people to pre-arrange their presentation and we'll allocate a slot. It could be about anything, from how to ride a pony, to setting up a apache server in linux. lol. Great idea Mirey.
What does the rest of the Team think? Think it'll work?

Having a techie talk is always welcome imo, knowledge is power and who wants to be powerless?
but i do believe there is atime and place for that and i think @ a lan where ur gaming it wouldn't be that muchof a hit. but certainly having 1on1 or small groups if it was wanted enough i'd support or lend a tongue to talk.

not so much of a hit with you then Jug, fair enough. It might be something worth while looking into for breaks.. because at past 24hrs LAN people gather round to watch a whole film to have a break, so you never know? I personally love the idea and would like to see it happen, but just because im likeing the idea I dont honestly know what its popularity would be like on the event with everyone else.
I suppose something that would be hot for discussion would be a short talk and demonstration on how to record gameplay with FRAPs, stuff like that would really go down a treat. Maybe we should just pre-plan some in-house short presentations like that, and have them there ready if needed on the night. We could also let others do their own if they wanted too. Thats if we liked this idea and went ahead with it. I duno.. more discussion..
