I am planning on building a major rig at the end of summer. It's going to generate enough heat to warm my house so I need a good way of keeping everything cool. Phase shifting is a little out of reach, but I have been researching some water cooling kits and decided on a really good one. I am just stuck with one thing...
See, the way I think is as follows, if I'm going to water cool, I should go the whole hog, and I have found all the necessary kit except a water cooled PSU *in my price range* - I found one but it was £300!!! and it was only 400W
If you guys know of any decently priced, high powered water cooled PSUs please let me know... I would mod it but having water that close to massive capacitance doesn't really inspire me with confidence!
Gracias amigos

My 550 dont generate that much heat and its on pretty much all the time when im in??
I aint even heard of a water cooled PSU really but im sure there out there.

WCing is nice. its very quiet compared to fans. it cools better - water is much much better at cooling than air. but it isn't cheap. setting it up can and will be dangerous to ur machine if u fuk it up.
a WC Psu can be done, and i've seen it done. and the point of it is....NOTHING. if u want the top of ur case/psu to be cooler than it is at the mo duel suck fan ur psu, at a blowhole at the top of ur case (with or without a fan) and that will do.
when u WC u only need to WC ur CPU. if u OC ur GFX then u may wanna WC that aswell but that can get tricky.
u also need to make sure ur keeping ur water cool - make sure u got a good radiator, and that ur system temp is cool aswell.
i can WC my cpu with good radiator, reseviour and pump for like 150.
a WC psu is POINTLESS. unless ur very rich dont bother
