Yeah, ive done it!!!!!! A hard drive window mod Hows that for a "Bash" Its a true "bodge" all ive done is used some perspex from a Jewel CD case and taped it on for now, eventually Im going to run either some yellow EL wire around the platter and arm, or run some kind of lighting inside the window itself. Then i will fix the window to the hard drive itself. Ive got loads more pictures and a load of videos as well of it working. And yes, it is a fully working drive that i can actually boot Windows XP!!!!! Also, when ive got enough cash, im gonna cut a hole in a case so you can see my drive working away inside my PC. Please tell me any thaughts Bash

Nice, i love it. i still think that my plain, greyish whiteish computer case with no mods looks the best though -Mirey

Aparrently, as soon as you take the top of a hard drive, it doesnt work.
But, as you can see, i have corrected that theory. lol
But ya do have to be carefull, dont get any crap on the platter. I did it in my room and thats not the most, dust free enviroment.
I suggest, doing it on a old small uneeded HD like i did. Even with a small disk it looks really cool, and you can use it for uninportant data storage.

I recon that if you did the HD window MOD in absoult mint conditions and enviroment, and then the new window was air tight and sealed it would not muck up at all. It would be best to do a MOD like this somewhere like the kitchen after is has been wiped down, because if any dust gets in at all I think I might try this MOD on one of my old HD's. Another quality MOD shown by Bash.

Yeah i know, this HD is also being given the hardest time ever and its still surviving I mean you dont bring many HD's into college and plug it in like 5 different computers a day, lol.
